"Rusty Nail" is a single released by X Japan on June 10, 1994.[1] It was written and composed by Yoshiki, later appeared on the album Dahlia, and was used as the theme song for the 1994 Japanese TV drama Kimi ga Mienai. The single reached number one on the Oricon charts.[1]

Swedish metal band Dragonland added a cover of the song to the Japanese edition of their 2004 album Starfall.[2]

Music videos

Two music videos have been made for the song, an animated version released in 1994 and a newer one released on the X Japan Showcase in L.A. Premium Prototype DVD on September 6, 2010. The later features the band performing live on top of the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles, California.
